Limited Edition Chuck Taylors

Since my last post was on Chuck Taylors I decided to post this limited edition section as my following post. This post includes some very rare Chucks that just happen to be one of my favorite designs up to date. They feature both perforated and patent leather. The sneaker comes in red, gold/black, and a solid white color scheme. The retail on them is about $85 which is only $20 then the classic Style! Feel free to comment and tell me what your favorite color is!

Converse Chuck Taylor's (Always in Style)

Converse Chuck Taylor's have to be one of the only shoes that never went out of style. They were first produced in 1917 and have kept the same design until today's day and age. Their classic design is very basic and as always been one of my favorite sneakers. Converse dominated the U.S. sneaker market from the 1920s until the 1970s. In 1923, after Chuck Taylor made improvements to the shoe, Converse decided to incorporate his name onto the ankle patch that displayed the Converse All Star logo. Then, in the 1930s Taylor’s signature was put into the design, which is how the shoe became known as the “Chuck Taylor” All Star. In 2003, Nike bought Converse for around $305 million. Within the last decade, Converse revamped their original design. The new design features the same look as the original but incorporates a slim sole instead of the older bulky style. I will be posting pictures of both styles in different colours, both canvas and leather, hightops and lowtops, as well as the slim-cut vs. the original. My goal is to get your opinions on what style compliments your wardrobe. Feel free to post your comments below!

Dolce and Gabanna 2010/2011 menswear

Dolce and Gabanna has by far been my favourite designer for the past four years; they have two line ups. DolceandGabanna's (spelled without spaces) focus is centered on the formal aspect of fashion that is more based on term styles as opposed to trends in seasons. Their timeless designs are always in style and turn heads everywhere. In the DolceandGabanna collection the shoes are more of a formal design as well. Their second brand, D & G is where 80% of my attention is focused when it comes to this company. D & G carries some of the most unique sneakers on the market. Their one of a kind designs stand out over hundreds of companies. The quality that is incorporated in their design is just as breathtaking. Yes, their sneakers are very expensive, however you do get what you pay for. Below, I posted two videos for both D & G and DolceandGabanna for the 2010/2011. They show the whole menswear collection including footwear. Throughout the video you will notice many unique shoes and sneakers from their new collection. Enjoy!

Well priced Online and local Stores

Since day one I have always been looking for the hottest sneakers on the market. Regardless of the style and brand name, I'm always looking to find the best deals that are open to the public . Recently I came across a website called karmaloop.com. Since my last post was about Creative Recreation I decided to mention them first. About a week ago I purchased four pairs of Creative Recreation shoes from their webiste for a every fair price. Before making my deal final I took a look around the G.T.A. to find the same shoes and compare prices. All the shoes I purchased off karmaloop.com amounted to 50% less than local stores and in some cases 65%!. They also have a deal going on if you spend a certain amount you get an even further reduction off your total purchase. My total was just over 300 dollars which meant that I received 50 dollars off my grand total.  Another positive aspect of their site is their fair shipping and handling prices. My shopping experience was very enjoyable and I'm certain I will be back for more shoes! Second on my list is Winners. I have been a Winners employee for the past year and a half. Over this time period I have gained a lot of respect for this company. Winners marks down their merchandise in a very aggressive and timely manner. Twice a year they have a final clearance event that offers deals that you cannot beat. I bought about five pairs of hand-made italian designer shoes for about 40-60 dollars each. They came into Winners for about 350 dollars each and suggested retail was upwards of 650 dollars. If you check Winners frequently I'm more than sure you'll find a good deal.

Intro to Shoe Fiend

What's going on everyone? My name is Tim and I’m a sneaker fanatic! Over the past years, I have developed a big love for sneakers and the different styles and trends companies have to offer. I’m here to give you an idea of what I think is in style along with the hottest trends out right now. I’m hoping in return you can give me some of your style advice as well. Recently, I went on Creative Recreation's website to take a look at their new fall/winter collection and I noticed many shoe styles that have been around for a while but got revamped for the fall season. My top five include the Borelli high-top. My favourite style from the Borelli line is the Black Hex Ripstop. This shoe incorporates a new unique honeycomb nylon material finish that gives this shoe a fresh and fun feel. Other "Borelli" styles from the lineup include new fabrics to the upper that range from wool, leather even nylon ripstop! Pictures of the described styles are shown below. Let me know what’s your favourite new style of the season. Thanks for the read peeps!
